Soapnuts (sometimes known as soapberries) are a kind of berries that grown on the soapnut trees which are usually found in the wild Indonesia, Nepal and India.
Ripened soapnuts are gathered by habd, dried in the sun and have their seeds removed.
These wonderful miracle soapnuts can be used for a wide range of cleaning and washing applications, from doing the laundry, washing the dishes to being a pet shampoo, it is the great eco-friendly item to have at home.
It cleans and washs yet won't harm the environment.
DOING LAUNDRY
-Put 6 to 8 soapnut in small cotton bag or an old aock, tie up thr end.
-Place it inside the washing machine with fabrics and clothes, wash as normal.
-Use warm water with the soapnut for better washing effect.
-For extra nice scent, add 5 to 10 drops of your favourite essential oil on the cotton bag or sock.
SOAPNUT LIQUID
(Excellent for many cleaning applications)
-Put 15 to 20 pieces of soapnuts shells with 4 cups water on the stove.
-Bring to boild, and simmer for 30 minutes. Cool and strain liquid into a bottle.
-Store the soapnut shell can be reused until it no longer has a "soapy" feel to it.
Please keep soapnut shells in dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight. If properly stored, it can be kept for a long time.
